A Pharmacy in The Garden – Home Remedies Using Fruits and Vegetables
May 23rd, 2013 by Aldouspi

We all believe it is important to eat wisely, bu is that true? Scientific study after scientific study says, “Yes, there is a link between health and diet!”

A recent study involving senior citizens who ate a diet rich in fish, grains and vegetable compared to those who were less particular in what they ate showed those that ate more veggies had the tendency to lead more active lives. Other studies have shown a link between whole grains and vegetables and a 40 percent drop in colon cancer. A study on women found that those females who ate a diet rich in fruits and vegetable had a 25 percent lower risk of getting breast cancer.

Nutritionists have learned that when you eat fruits and vegetables, hundreds of phytochemicals, well balanced and working in conjunction with each other, are easily absorbed to provide the maximum health benefits.

So based on scientific evidence, it is clear that the safest and most effective treatment for various diseases can be found right in our households. A mixture of natural fruits, vegetables and herbs are some of things needed to prevent or cure disease.

Before modern medicine, people had to cure themselves – they learned by trial and error that certain plants – fruits and vegetables were useful to treat different medical conditions. Those practicing such “Folk Medicine” have collected home remedies using vegetables for many centuries. Every vegetable has a unique well-balanced chemical composition. The newest research and studies are confirming this folk wisdom: The fruits and vegetables we eat have the ability to prevent and cure diseases and improve overall health by combining the right natural ingredients in right proportions.

The other ingredients used in these home remedies besides vegetables are natural honey, alcohol and some herbs. That’s it.

I myself am allergic to a lot of medicine, in particular antibiotics, sulphonamide-based groups of drugs, penicillin, Novocaine, etc. And I get allergic reactions to most cosmetic products. That is why I always had to look for alternative cures. I have tried many home remedies and found that they really work and do not give any allergic reactions. I started collecting effective home remedies.

Over the years, my diet has become more organic, less processed and closer to the garden. Why shouldn’t my “medicine cabinet” when possible become simpler, more organic and closer to the garden, too?

There are many books out there that can provide you natural home remedies, one such is called Pharmacy in Vegetables. This book contains tested home remedies that people from all over the world use, including myself, every time they have a health problem.

I particularly like learning ways to slow down the aging process, and too boost my immune system, by choosing what I eat with those concerns in mind.

No book will or should replace your doctor and I am not giving medical advice here. When you break a bone, you want to make sure it is set properly by a trained physician. But there is nothing wrong and everything right in eating foods that will support the healing process. And learning about food and combinations of food that will decrease the risk of strokes or cancer or other all too common medical problems our society faces is a good idea.

Anyway, I wanted to bring this book, Pharmacy in Vegetables to your attention. Currently it costs $17 and you can find out more details, just Click Here!
