The Barska Lucid 20×32 Compact Binocular (Black)is a good buy you just may want to lay off the coffee when you use them, as stated with only a 32mm light optic at 22x you must be steady! even thou you wont be disappointed!

I compared this to the Celestron 15 x 70 while watching the moon. While the Celstron is obviously heavier and needs a tripod, this unit can give one a quick image (snapshot). I see the same moon size so that is why I think it is only a 15x. I would expected 33 % more enlargement. The Celestron does have more light because of the x70 and is clearer. It would not be bad with a small home made tripod you can adapt to so one can focus better. For quick access on the road this would be handy.

    Update to above:

I used an old slimline tripod from a camera, and screwed (Ace Hardware adapter) on a small block of wood to it. The bino was then attached to the wood block with Velcro. Thus, I have a small 14″ portable tripod for this bino!

Last night, I placed the 15×70 Skymaster next to this 20×32 mounted onto their respective tripods. I was able to see more faintly lit stars because of the 70mm. However, the brighter stars was also viewable with the x32. I would say that the 20×32 has it’s purpose and that may be transportability. Focusing on these require patience!

With both binos on tripods, I was able to compare their magnifications more conclusively.

Viewing a blue container 1/2 mile away with both binos side by side, the image viewed on the 20×32 was definitely larger compared to the 15 x 70. So I take back what I said previously – that their magnification parameters were the same at 15. The FOV on the 20×32 was literally 50% blue container coverage.

The beams of a communication strut tower about 15 miles away are now clearly defined at 20 magnification. At 15 magnification, the image appeared as panels connecting the beams.

Glasses are basically worthless. The clarity and light gathering is extremely poor and make these glasses useless. You get what you pay for. Lessor magnification might be better. I should have known better. Overall quality of the product other than the optics are ok but what are you buying. Good luck if you buy this product. You will not be happy.

its a good product but 20×32 is a bit much for a hand held instument. it makes it shakey and cuts down your field of view.20×20 or 20×30 is probably enough.
