These organizations often sponsor research into problems that afflict rose plants, and many of the groups are now registering the varieties in their local areas for the sake of preserving and conserving types that might become endangered. The organizations devoted to the rose are an invaluable resource for learning about growing roses, but in fact they do so much more than just provide information. In the long run, with their research and conservation efforts, they may turn out to be vital for the future of roses themselves.
