Binoculars Accessories
July 8th, 2010 by Aldouspi

After shelling the hundreds if not thousands of dollars to purchase a pair of binoculars, most people just want to get out and use their new toys and do not care about things like parts or accessories. Who wants to worry about silly details and, as spare parts lens caps when there is so much to see with a new pair of binoculars? However, unnecessarily, it would appear, binoculars accessories are very important to get the most out of your new binoculars and the best defense against unnecessary wear and tear.

Optics are the core of all binoculars, and therefore you have to do everything you can to make sure nothing happened to the lens. The smallest scratch on the lens can ruin your enjoyment and threaten the integrity of the optics, which is why the caps are tops on the list living accessories.

Next to the lens caps, a cleaning kit is probably another accessory that you would like to have for a few extra dollars. Together with wipes, a clean set of binoculars usually come with a lens pen which is an important part of this accessory. This handy little accessory comes with a brush at one end and a rubber tip on the other. Rubber tip is designed so that it does not dry out and it contains the cleaning solution on it to help remove dirt and grime that is inevitable to land on the binoculars’ lens

Even if your telescope should have come with one, a pair of binoculars case, another one is always a subject accessory that you should never part with for any reason. On long walks in the woods or on the car when you travel, you will keep the binoculars secure and your parts organized and handy when not in use.

Tripod is another good accessory. This accessory is a great idea for people who share their telescopes for bird watching and looking into the sky late at night. Tripod assembly allows the telescope to view something that you find interesting; allows you to step away without changing optics, and look again at what you find interesting, without changing the angle. You can also find tripods with adjustable feet so that you can set them up on uneven bases
